9/11 Events In the Orlando Area

As everyone knows, it is the 10th anniversary of 9/11, a day that will remain in our memories forever.  There are several memorial events going on in our area this weekend.  Here are two free events to be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, that sound both interesting and excellent.

1.  9/11:  An American Moment
Created in 2006, “9/11 An American Moment” is an original production capturing the poignancy of tested and proven American patriotism; her courage, faith, resolve and pride in response to the World Trade Center attack.

Reservations are not required but are strongly recommended to ensure seating. To reserve your seats, call the Central Florida Ballet box office at 407-849-9948

  • 2:00 p.m.
  • Northland Church
  • 530 Dogtrack Road, Longwood
  • Donations accepted

2.  9-11 Anniversary Memorial Concert
This memorial will feature members of the Rollins Concert Choir and Bach Festival Society who will pay tribute to America while performing Mozart's Requiem. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.

  • 3:00 p.m.
  • Knowles Chapel / Rollins College
  • Winter Park

I'm not sure if I can make either of these events although I'd love to.  Please leave a comment if YOU attend either or both of these and let me know how they were.
