Parsley "Tea": A Natural Diuretic

Parsley "Tea"

I was walking with my daughter-in-law this morning and thought I had posted about this here... such a great tip whenever you need a diuretic and want to avoid meds (which I do as often as I can).  This is quick and easy to make and tastes pretty good to me although some may want to add salt (but don't do it!).

Take a bunch of parsley, about half of the bunch that you see above, and put it in a medium-sized pot of water on the stove. Bring to a boil and let simmer on low for about 20 minutes.  Remove the parsley which can be frozen for soup another time. Ladle some of the liquid into a small mug and sip.   In about 30 minutes to an hour, your diuretic "problem" should be solved.   You will probably need to use the facilities a number of times over the next few hours but from experience, this home remedy works quite well.

I had a fall a number of years ago with lots of swelling and by the next day, it was almost entirely gone. My father had gout in his legs which were also swollen and he used it and it helped him immensely.

You can drink as much as you want without any harmful effects to your liver or kidneys, something that you cannot say for supplements, Rx or over-the-counter pills.  After all, it's just adding another vegetable to your daily menu.

There are multiple benefits from drinking the parsley "tea" which you can google for more information.

Genesis 1:30 ...and to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the sky and to every thing that moves on the earth which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so.
