March 26: Contentment / Planting Flowers in the Spring Garden

CONTENTMENT SCRIPTURES

2Pet. 1:3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

Phil. 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

Prov. 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
        In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Growth in Contentment
Go to God in prayer daily.
Read God's Word daily.
Obey God moment by moment.
Witness for Christ by life and words.
Trust God for every detail of life.
Holy Spirit--allow Him to control and empower daily life.

===================================================
Almost forgot about the blog this morning as I was planting four flats of flowers in my front yard.   What a wonderful picture of GROWTH as in the acronym above.  Flowers start from seeds then blossom and are quite small. Within a few weeks in the cool/warm spring weather they are gorgeous.  The red ruffle azaleas have been blooming all week.  I bought these flowers on Wednesday but just got around to planting them today.  I'm actually about three weeks late, partially due to being sick last week.  Can't wait for the full bloom and spreading of the impatiens.   Butterflies are attracted to the marigolds which usually last through most of  the summer even here in Florida.
Need to go finish supper--chicken divan, garlic bread and salad tonight.  I didn't have any cream of mushroom soup so I checked online how to make a substitute which looked and smelled pretty good when I made it.  Curry powder is the special ingredient in this dish. Smells great!

Couldn't get the photo of the whole casserole before everyone started digging in.
Oh, well, here's the entire meal.  :)
