Ligonier Conference Washington DC Area in September

In June I had a few posts on the National Ligonier Conference that our family attended together.  You can view the sessions from that conference via webcast at THIS LINK.  Excellent. Great speakers, lots of meaningful sessions.  I regularly listen to Dr. R. C. Sproul's radio program Renewing Your Mind (lately, while exercising in the pool in the mornings).

If you live in the Washington, DC area, I encourage you to make plans to attend Ligonier's 2010 Regional Conference this September.     I would assume that the sessions will also be broadcast via the web, but you would need to check into that to verify.

Topic:

Being a Christian in a Post-Christian Culture

Recover a biblical understanding of the world around you.
Today, we are living in a post-Christian and even anti-Christian society where the holiness of God is mocked, Christians are silenced, and the gospel is largely seen as irrelevant, even in many professedly “Christian” churches. Those of us who are disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ often find it difficult to find our bearings in this ever-changing world, let alone shine the light of Christ into the darkest recesses of the culture.
In an effort to help believers learn how to live out the implications of the gospel in this culture, Ligonier Ministries is hosting a conference September 17–18, 2010, in Washington, D.C., featuring two of our four teaching fellows, Robert Godfrey and R.C. Sproul Jr., as well as, Thabiti AnyabwileAlbert Mohler, and Burk ParsonsDr. Sproul will also join us via live video feed for a live one on one with attendees. This conference will provide sound teaching as to how Christians can recover a biblical understanding of the world around us and, consequently, how we can reform our lives and our spheres of influence.
